Project Summary:

- Sulfur recovery unit was successfully tested and commissioned and is the first technology of this kind to be operated on an FPSO
- Total Module weight of the project – 3000 Tons. The SRU module was 1400 ton as a single stand-alone module

Challenge:
Gas contained a very high concentration of H2S, which could not be released to the atmosphere.
VME Solution:
Using patented technology, VME provided detailed engineering services and constructed the modular sulfur recovery unit to convert the H2S into molten elemental sulfur which could then be sold as a commercial by-product.
