Challenge:
Excess water/oil carry-over in the slug catcher and surge drum – needed to be converted from a 2-phase to 3-phase vessel.
VME Solution:
VME designed and installed a manway removable oil bucket to convert the surge drum into a 3-phase vessel. Additionally, the inlet device on the slug catcher was retrofitted with an adjustable weir that was then added to the vessel.
