Helping our customers meet today’s energy needs while developing energy solutions for tomorrow.

People need energy.

Many energy companies drill new oil and gas wells to bring fossil fuels to the surface. Other companies transport these fuels to distribution centers, terminals, and refineries, while still others process fossil fuels or harvest renewable energy. Today, VME helps energy companies by supplying process systems, modular equipment, surface facilities, engineered solutions, separation products and aftermarket services, enabling them to meet people’s energy needs.

How do we develop solutions for tomorrow?

We must first listen to energy consumers around the world to identify their needs in order to develop energy solutions that are environmentally responsible and sustainable. VME is striving to create tomorrow’s solutions through our business development group, our engineering department, our Innovations and Energy Committees.

Our Vision

We believe everyone should have access to energy. We should take steps to make this a reality for people around the world. While this is a lofty objective, we believe it is attainable. It is in this spirit that VME has established its vision.

At VME, we believe that fossil fuels will continue to be part of the energy mix worldwide for decades to come. This should not deter us from promoting clean sources of energy. We will make a difference in reducing harmful emissions by encouraging the use of low-carbon natural gas and renewable energy where possible.

For lasting change to occur, energy must also be affordable and sustainable. We believe an affordable and sustainable energy supply incorporates a balance of renewable and non-renewable sources, including fossil fuels.

Michael Thomas

Chief Executive Officer
Chief Executive Officer for the VME Group of companies. Michael has the privilege to work with and lead VME’s talented executive team. Prior to becoming an entrepreneur at VME, Michael worked with notable companies developing expertise in crude treating and serving in various capacities from division management and project engineering to process design and laboratory services. “Nobody likes surprises. That’s why we value honesty and clear communication with our stakeholders.”

Kuoh Lee

Senior Executive Vice President
Senior Executive Vice President, Kuoh Lee leads the offshore EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) business sector and manages the operation in Asia Pacific. He had over a decade of experience with multinational oil & gas company in engineering, project and sales roles before joining VME. Kuoh has led the growth at VME from a process internals fabrication company to a world-class topsides EPC contractor supporting global customers and projects.

Kelly Starr

Global CFO
Prior to joining VME, Kelly spent 25 years with Klüber Lubrication as the regional CFO for North America, where he was responsible for all accounting / finance activities, along with the IT, HR, Customer Service and Legal departments. He also spent 7 years with Texas Instruments in Dallas in various roles. Kelly is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with his BBA from Texas A&M University and his MBA from the University of Dallas. “I’m passionate about taking care of VME’s customers and making sure our back-office operations serve our customers efficiently and effectively as well.”

Chad Tomlinson

Vice President of Process Solutions Division
Chad leads the Process Solutions division to execute projects from conception to completion. His team serves our customers with a customer-first mindset providing process solutions, project execution, aftermarket parts, and technical services. Chad has held executive and leadership roles within VME Companies for 20+ years. He has successfully designed, managed, and commissioned many onshore and offshore process systems during his tenure at VME. "Experience driven leadership builds great teams through TEAM engagement and empowerment with positive influence. When we WORK together, we WIN together!”

Janis Levels

Director of People & Culture
Janis leads VME’s global Human Resources and Administration team, focusing on people by promoting relationships, service, growth and compliance. For 15+ years Janis has led VME’s people operations strategically and tactically, collaborating across the organization to continually develop our company culture, ensuring our Mission, Vision and Values are lived out – not simply words on the wall. “People want to be valued – it’s our purpose to make sure they are!”

Daniel Johnstone

Vice President of Offshore Projects
Daniel leads our global Projects and Construction teams for our offshore engineered projects, with a focus on our FPSO markets. He brings over 20 years of experience in the Oil & Gas Industry, focused on the EPC Management of large topside modules and has extensive experience working in the S.E. Asia and Americas regions. "People are our number one priority. For customers, that means we will strive to deliver your projects on time and to your satisfaction every time!"

C Srinivas

General Manager of VME Process, Malaysia
Srinivas has been leading the Malaysian operation since 2009, he also plays a key role in training engineers, managing projects, team building, and providing engineering solutions. Srinivas is a passionate chemical engineer. He has developed several key designs, leads numerous large projects and ensures professional development of engineers. Srinivas focuses on delivering financial performance, providing innovative design insights, and building teams who are responsible and maintain integrity. He ensures satisfied clients by going the extra mile while meeting project budget, with safety being the priority.

David Falls

Corporate Controller
David has led VME’s global financial professionals for 15 years while also implementing global enterprise systems to better serve our shareholders, clients and suppliers "Our goal as the financial arm of VME is to serve people with integrity and professionalism while continually looking for ways to improve our service."

James Taylor

Director of Information Technology
James oversees the global technology team to provide modern digital solutions for VME and its partners. He has spent over 20 years in Information Technology, most of which were in the manufacturing industry. James is passionate about building a best-in-class team that can tackle the complexities of our industry through process and technical excellence. "I believe in the concept of using the right technology in the right situation. Technology should be a business enhancer, not a burden."

Robert Bochow

General Counsel
Robert is responsible for advising the executive and management teams on legal matters that emanate from their business groups. He has an engineering background with experience in EPC project management, giving him a balanced perspective in the assessment of the business risks faced by VME.
