Generic Gas FPSO 1, Cidade De Sao Mateus, Brazil
Project Summary:
3 Topsides Modules – Seawater Treatment (SRU) & Water Injection, TEG Dehydration Module with HP/LP Fuel Gas conditioning, plus Flare Processing Module
Key Facts:
- First ever Gas FPSO for Petrobras in Brazil and was the largest sized FPSO at that time
- 3 modules, weighing a total in excess of 1200 Metric Tons
- Processing Information: Oil Flow 25,000 BOPD
- Processing Information: Gas Flow 353 MMSCFD @ 201.5 bara. This was the largest gas flow capacity that VME had completed as of the date of installation.
- Processing Information: Produced Water Flow 10,000 BWPD
Client:
Petrobras / Prosafe Production
Challenge:
The gas needed to be dehydrated at a very high pressure (201.5 bara). This was the first ever FPSO that was focused solely on Gas Processing, rather than Oil.
VME Solution:
VME was able to design and build 3 complete modules in Batam, Indonesia, which required membranes treatment for sulphate removal. Due to the high-pressure operation, this required a very specialized design of the Glycol system, to meet the dehydration performance and minimize glycol losses.
